Jeremy Clarkson to make Top Gear RETURN as BBC airs episodes cancelled during probeJEREMY Clarkson is to make a return to television screens as unseen Top Gear episodes that were cancelled during a probe into his conduct are aired.Executive producer Andy Wilman, who denied that he had quit the show yesterday after a thank you email was mistaken for a resignation letter, is planning to merge the episodes into two specials.Only the live studio segments and regular features such as Star in a Reasonably Priced Car were not completed during filming.A BBC source told The Sun: "They are working on a plan for broadcasting the remaining films."Former Top Gear host Clarkson was sacked last week for launching an "unprovoked physical and verbal assault" on the show's producer Oisin Tymon.The show's future had been left in doubt after his departure, with co-presenters James May and Richard Hammond both indicating they may move on.But in an email sent by Wilman yesterday he appeared to confirm the programme’s future.He wrote: “For those of you who still rely on it for work, don’t worry, because the BBC will make sure the show continues.The message to staff was seen by many as a resignation letter as Wilman said he was pleased "we left 'em wanting more".But the producer was forced to deny the claims and said he was staying put.Yesterday, the BBC executive said: "The email I wrote yesterday was not a resignation statement, and nor was it meant for public consumption."It was a private note of thanks to 113 people who have worked on the show over the years, but clearly one of those 113 is a bit of a tit, because they shared it with a website."I don't get this modern obsession with sharing, linking, forwarding, retweeting. Whatever happened to a private moment?Wilman added that he would not resign "publicly", but would hand in his notice "to someone upstairs in HR".He continued: "I work behind the camera and I wouldn't presume for one moment to think people are interested in what I do. Now, everyone back to work."
