Ovaj vikend je Le Mans 24h. thumbs1
The weather gods smiled on the FIA World Endurance Championship competitors this afternoon as the 35 competitors begun their final practice session before this evening’s qualifying sessions. In glorious sunshine, the cars all took to the track for an uninterrupted 120 minutes of running on the Ardennes track which is consistently at the top of drivers’ list of ‘all-time favourites.’
The No.1 Audi R18 e-ton quattro of André Lotterer, Benoît Tréluyer and Marcel Fässler was, once again, the fastest car at Spa-Francorchamps with a 2:01.276 lap of the 7km circuit, 0.7 seconds faster than this morning’s first session. It was once again an Audi 1-2-3, with the No.3 long-tail Audi of Lucas Di Grassi, Marc Gene and Oliver Jarvis edging out the Silverstone-winning car of Tom Kristensen, Loîc Duval and Allan McNish.
The surprise of the session was the No.12 Rebellion Racing Lola-Toyota of Neel Jani, Nick Heidfeld and Nicolas Prost which was 4th fastest, 1.029s behind the lead Audi but ahead of both works Toyotas led by the 2013 specification No.7 TS030 of Alex Wurz, Nicolas Lapierre and Kazuki Nakajima, 0.2s ahead of the No.8 Hybrid Toyota of Anthony Davidson, Sebastien Buemi and Stephane Sarrazin
The new FIA WEC qualifying format produced an exciting 30-minute qualifying session at Spa-Francorchamps with the nr1 Audi R18 e-tron quattro of Marcel Fassler and Andre Lotterer producing an average time of 1m59.961 over the four best laps for each driver to take pole position ahead of the nr3 Audi of Lucas Di Grassi and Marc Gene and the nr2 Audi of Tom Kristensen and Allan McNish.
The nr41 Greaves Motorsport Zytek-Nissan of Chris Dyson crashed heavily on the exit of Rivage to bring out the red flags after just six minutes. The American was OK but the car was stranded in a unsafe position.
At the restart it was the Audis that took control with the two Toyotas unable to get on terms with their rivals and at the chequered flag it was the nr7 TS030 of Alex Wurz and Kazuki Nakajima in 4 th , 0.9 seconds adrift of the pole time, with teammates Anthony Davidson and Sebastien Buemi in the 2012 spec nr8 Toyota in 5 th a further three tenths slower.

Nissan got one car to the finish – the #22 car of Michael Krumm, Harry Tincknell and Alex Buncombe was not classified as a finisher as it did not complete the required 70 per cent of the winners distance.
>be Mark Webber
>finally Red Bull gives you a winning car
>be permanently second behind a young German
>break free after five years and commit to WEC
>the cycle repeats with another young German
The race stewards at the 6 Hours of Fuji have decided, after reviewing video evidence and telemetry data following the contact between the #47 KCMG Oreca and #28 G-Drive Ligier that:
The driver of the #47 who was defending his position against #28 which was very close to him, braked 37 metres sooner than usual as he considered the damped braking side of the track. This way of defending his position explained the contact between the 2 cars.
The Stewards considered that the driver of car #28 was not responsible for the incident.
Regarding the driver of car #47 the Stewards consider that the fact to brake so early even in defending his position was potentially dangerous for other drivers as for himself.
Therefore the Steward decide to impose a reprimand to Richard Bradley, the driver of car #47.
There is a right to appeal and DSC believes that on the basis of data recovered from the #47 the team are set to do so.
Update – 22:30 local
The following update was issued by the Stewards – Their decision is suspended after the data provided by KCMG apparently showed the #47 was under full throttle at the point of first impact from the #28!
Well that sucks. The FCY that was caused by debris from the 26 hitting us has enabled the 26 to pit under yellow. Race over
And now contact with their team mates creates a puncture for us and another stop
Great move by @PatrickPilet for P2!! Same cannot be said for some other drivers
Tek sam sad vidio ovaj Audi R18, opasno izgleda. thumbs1
The LMP2 grid will, for the second year in succession, consist of 10 entries, representing seven different nationalities and five different chassis manufacturers. Joining 2015 LMP2 champions G-Drive Racing from Russia, this year competing with an ORECA 05, will be two BR01 prototypes in the hands of class returnee SMP Racing. From the USA, Extreme Speed Motorsports return stronger and wiser after a full season in the WEC, ready to challenge for championship titles alongside Britain’s Strakka Racing and the French entered Signatech Alpine team. Three new teams are welcomed to LMP2 – the Baxi DC Racing Alpine team from China, RGR Sport by Morand from Mexico and the Manor team from Britain
The team, run by former Manor F1 team chiefs Graeme Lowdon and John Booth, will use a Nissan-powered Oreca chassis for the campaign, which includes the 84th edition of the Le Mans 24 Hours.

He has the support of Audi, which has supplied a near-standard Audi S3 turbo engine to power his CN Ligier JS53 EVO and will provide an endurance variant of its DTM four-litre V8 for the LMP2.

Audi is realigning its motorsport strategy. The premium brand will terminate its FIA WEC commitment, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, at the end of the 2016 season. Instead Audi is taking up a factory-backed commitment in the all-electric Formula E racing series.

***Head of Audi LMP, Stefan Dreyer has admitted that the 2017-spec Audi R18, codenamed RP7, was nearly complete prior to the decision to end its factory program. “Obviously it had not tested yet but it was very far in development and very far in getting it built,” Dreyer told Sportscar365. “I think it would have been the car to beat.”
Ti si manijak! Pogledat sve to u komadu; svaka ti čast. thumbs1

šofe1 p1va
