SimRacingExpo - Nurburgring

The SimRacingExpo at the Nurburgring circuit just wrapped up today, and we’ve been getting a steady flow of videos from the community of the festivities! Some people covered the press conferences, some covered the races, and some decided to test out the hardware displays. I’ll show you a few of the videos that caught my eyes that you may enjoy.

First off, we have videos from our very own community member AussieStig. He was able to attend the event, and capture some awesome footage of him testing out some of the equipment featured at the event. He was able to test out a SimXperience rig (which used an ECCI 7000 wheel and ARC Carbon pedals), a D-BOX motion rig, and also got to test out a Leo Bodnar SimSteering unit. Next up, we have some footage from Sebastian Keijmel. He was able to make his way to the Green Hell as well, and has brought some other goodies for us to watch as well! Above, you can see a video of him driving in MPM SportCars motion cockpit, which features the Heusinkveld Engineering Sim Pedals (not specified as to which version). He also has footage of him checking out the Fanatec booths, and even has a video of iRacing President Tony Gardner giving the CSW V2 a spin! Sebastian also captured some of the live action at the Nurburgring 1000, so you should check out all his channel has to offer!

Last, but definitely not least, we have some great quality footage from Georg Ortner, better known as 6e660. He was able to get a lot of the live footage of the event, including press conferences and race events. While the majority of the coverage is in German, some of the racing is definitely worth the watch! The video above is of the final race of the event, where the top sim racers in Europe duke it out around the Nurburgring GP circuit in RaceRoom Racing Experience.
