The 40th ADAC Zurich 24-Hour Race is scheduled to run Saturday, May 19, 14:00 - Sunday, May 20, 2012, 14:00 (Ascension Day weekend).

For 2012: The race is limited to a maximum of 190 cars/entries (down from a limit of 250 entries in 2011 [10]), which will start in 3 groups of up to 70 cars (maximum). Each entry must have between 2 drivers (minimum) and 4 drivers (maximum). Drivers may drive more than one car (2 maximum). All drivers are permitted to drive 3 hours per stint (maximum) with all refuelling and pit stops included. All drivers are required to take a MINIMUM REST TIME of 2 hours (whether driving 1 or 2 cars).

New in 2012: There is an exciting new "Top-40" qualifying format for the 40 fastest cars on the starting grid, which will take place, Friday, after the first 2 qualifying sessions: "the 40 fastest teams will battle it out on Friday afternoon for the positions at the front end of starting group 1".

As in previous years, the Top 40 Qualifying cars eligible to start, must have flashing lights installed (for better identification of the Top 40 competitors) behind the windscreen on the passenger’s side.

In 2012, there are 28 classes split into 4 divisions.

    Normally aspirated engines: SP3, SP4, SP5 , SP6, SP7, SP8, SP9 (FIA-GT3), SP10 (SRO-GT4)
    Turbo engines: SP3T, SP4T, SP8T
    Diesel engines (Turbo): D1T, D2T, D3T, D4T
    AT (gas driven vehicles, liquid gas, natural gas, HVO, alternative Diesel fuels)

Division 1 – Group E1-XP    

    E1-XP1, E1-XP2, E1-XP Hybrid

Division 1 – Group VLN Series Production cars    

    V2, V3, V4, V5, V6

Division 2 – Group N (Production Touring Cars)    

    N2, N3, N4, N5

Danas su prenosili kvalifikacije top 40. Bitka ce biti izmedu Njemaca, ostali ne mogu konkurirati u GT3 klasi. Bit ce zanimljivo gledati sutra sm1jeh

Chris Mamerow: “We aren’t on pole but being second on the grid is fine, too. On the information lap, I allowed the cars in front of me to open a gap on me but this wasn’t exactly easy as the guys behind me were really burning. So, everything had to work on the first lap and indeed, I set a faster lap time than on my second. We definitely want to make full use of the car’s potential to finish as one of the front runners. After all, we demonstrated today that our package is competitive.”  

# 15 (Edwards / Bleekemolen / Metzger / Schall) Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3
Sean Edwards: “I’m aware that today’s result isn’t of major significance for the race. It could be raining what should be an advantage, for us, as our tyres work really well in wet conditions. The Top-40-Qualifying seems to be an advantage for the fast cars. It’s really great to drive on a free track without any traffic. In the race, you always have to be aware of the risk to get into problems due to the slower cars or even be involved in an accident, by them.”

Utrka je završena. Puno toga se izdogađalo( ma daj, trajalo je samo 24h kava1). Odgledao sam "samo" početnih sat i zadnjih sat vremena i superzadovoljan sam viđenim.
Pobjedu je odnio Audi R8 LMS Ultra Team Phoenix pod rednim brojem 3 kojeg su vozili Basseng, Hasse, Stippler i Winkelhock. Zanimljivo je bilo za gledati i borbu za treće mjesto koja se vodila do zadnjeg metra utrke između SLS AMG-a s brojem 66 i Porschea GT3 R-a s brojem 11.

Misleći da je utrka završila i da je vrijeme isteklo, Porsche je neuobičajeno usporio na S/C  ravnini i dao SLS-u 3. mjesto. Onda se dogodio i čudan incident u kojem se Clio, koji je bio iza Porschea, zabio u Porschea iako ga je moga izbjeći u potpunosti još 100 metara prije sudara.



Kaz, Lucas, Tobias i Yasukichi su u Schulzeovu Nissanu GT-Ru završili utrku kao prvi u klasi! Kako je Kazunori ponosan na ovoj slici kadt1kažem

bum stavio ovdje pošto se radi o ovoj utrci... ak ne paše, može se prebaciti u GT3 topic pošto je ta klasa :)

Sedmu godinu zaredom, Aston Martin će se natjecati u ADAC 24 Hours of Nurburgring. Osam Vantage bolida su spremni se natjecati u utrci izdržljivosti, sa 8 službenih Aston Martina uključujući 2 V12 pogonjena GT3 bolida, četiri osobna bolida. Preko 170 automobila će biti u 24h utrci i po prvi puta će se par bolidi klase GT3 natjecati u seniorskoj SP9 kategoriji u FIA GT3 homologiranoj klasi u suradnji sa službenim partnerom Yound Driver AMR

Vodeći GT3 Vantage će imati poznatu #007 oznaku i voziti će ga Johannes i Ferdinand Stuck sa Dennis Rostekom i Darren Turnerom, AMR Factory Driver. Sa $006 označenim bolidom će upravljati Turnerovi radni kolega Stefan Mucke. Sjajni V12 Zagato koncept koji je imao svoj debakl na 24h Nurburgringa u 2011. vraća se i voziti će ga inženjerski odjel. Također će sudjelovati i CEO Dr. Ulrcih Bez, Chief enginerr Chris Porritt, AM Nurburgring Center Direktor Wolfgang Scuhbauer i automoto novinar i trkač Richard Meaden(ak sam dobro skužio)



The fourth official entry, a V8-powered Vantage, will be run by Aston Martin's Nurburgring Test Center team.The 40th ADAC Zurich Nurburgring 24 Hours will start at 4pm on 19 May.
Četvrti službeni nastup, sa V8 pogonjenim Vantageom, će se pojaviti AM Nurburgringov tim iz testnog centra.

E da, zaboravio sam pisati... došo doma i upalio... Do kraja bilo još pet sati. Išo za poslom raditi po kući. Došo na zadnjih pola sata. Porsche izgubio pozicije od Merđe kao i BMW... Zaspao sam XD
Probudio se na proglašenju. Prva dva mjesta odnjeli Mercedes, a treće BMW. Meni paše jer sam navijao za Porsche i BMW.. ali sam zaboravio koji je Porsche, 4. ili 8.

A vrijeme je fakat bilo užas, malo sam gledao utrku i svaka im čast kak voze. Preticanje sporijih, pa preticanje ovih ispred sebe i slično.. Massive respect  šofe1
