Evo i nekih detalja
- It's not a cheap browser game, but a serious game with licensed cars and tracks
- WOS shares graphics engine, weather and day-night cycle with PCARS, but otherwise they are completely different games.
- WOS is free. You get access to a certain number of entry-level cars and all tracks.
- There are tens of tracks in the game. Street tracks like Monaco, London, Moscow and famous race tracks full list of which would be half of the article size.
- There will be point to point races, early NFS games style. (one of the tracks is Azure Coast)
- More tracks after release
- Number of cars available at release is in double digits. More licenses are in the works.
- Car list includes supercars, roadsters, european and japanese hot hatches and some surprises including not yet announced russian cars.
- All cars will be stored in a garage which you will be able to turn into a automotive museum.
- Players can upgrade und customize their garage
- There will be tuning, but it's not known yet if players will be able to turn small hatchback into a racing car.
- Starting location is an abandoned airport which has been converted in a playground to do tricks and test cars. Allegedly players will do burnouts, show off, communicate and form clubs there.
- Clubs are the key element of the game. They aren't ment to just unite players, but to battle each other for control over tracks and leaderboards.
- If a club takes control of certain tracks, it doesn't mean that access to this track will be forbidden for other players.
- Club owning the track will be able to conduct exclusive events and customize the track with club's symbolics which will be visible to other players.
- You can play solo, but being a club member is much more interesting.
- Like in multiplayer shooters, players will have roles in the team. While the fastest guy is fighting for the lead in championship, other players will be able to help him by competing with opponents, cover each other from opponents' attacks, help accelerate and save fuel using drafting. All these actions will earn you money and experience points.
- There are other ways to "stand out" other than winning, like getting best lap, fastest speed, fastest time through a corner, get most points for drifting and team cooperation. All of that should keep players interested even in a race they can't win. Overall win is not the games' primary goal.
- WOS won't be a hard game. You can control cars with a keyboard without much struggle.
- During games' presentation at Zandvoort guests had opportunity to play the game with gamepad and wheel.
- Developers promise to avoid first corner carnage.
- The game already has instant respawn after collision. Other ways to make life harder for crashers are being discussed.
